GO BIG! 1450-CFM QFX Carburetor

BOWLING GREEN, KY – The biggest thing to hit the NHRA Pro-Stock class in recent history is the Quick Fuel Technology (QFT) 1450-cfm QFX carburetor (#FX-4714). This mega-sized carb is hand-assembled with race engineered and tested components including the new 3-circuit QFT Billet Metering Blocks (#34-77).

The new proprietary QFX lightweight aluminum main body design features a reshaped venturi entrance for consistent and improved airflow, a lengthened venturi section for better throttle response, screw in air bleeds and CNC-Billet aluminum annular boosters. The air bleeds are shielded from the air entering the venturi to nearly eliminate air turbulence allowing for a smoother air stream and better fuel atomization through the carb.

The unique metering blocks are engineered with 5 emulsion channels with screw in restrictions to help optimize the air/fuel ratio in this enormous 1450-cfm carb. Changing these restrictions are as easy as changing jets and offer unsurpassed tuning ability throughout the RPM range. QFT assembles the QFX carbs using its aluminum fuel bowls with dual sight glass windows and inlets. The contoured fuel entrance and internal baffling helps reduce turbulence and fuel aeration.

Every QFX carb comes with non-stick gaskets and 2 additional links to change the opening ratio of the secondaires from soft progressive to medium progressive or 1:1.

Ready-To-Run 2x4 Blower Carbs From Quick Fuel Technology

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Quick Fuel Technology's ready-to-run 2x4 Blower Carburetors will deliver the air and fuel your engine needs to make race-winning power. Whether you are driving a custom street rod or a full on racecar, these all aluminum 2x4 blower carbs are the right performance choice.

QFT's 2x4 blower carbs feature shortened throttle levers for clearance. The QFT engineers added an external vacuum reference tube for the power valve to connect to the intake manifold with a hose. This allows the power valve to see only positive pressure at Wide Open Throttle, eliminating the possibility of the power valve closing if the supercharger starts to "out run" the carb.

The 2x4 blower carbs have all the vacuum ports removed to avoid any plugs or hoses blowing off under boost conditions. The specially designed throttle body features built in channels to guide excess fuel from the top of the throttle plates around the throttle shafts and back into the intake manifold. This lessens the possibility of the fuel build up running out the throttle shafts onto the hot intake manifold.

These ready-to-run carburetors are based on the QFT Q-series carburetors and are available in four sizes; 650 (#Q-650-B2), 750 (#Q-750-B2), 850 (#Q-850-B2) and 950 CFM (#Q-950-B2). Both carbs must be ordered in the same CFM and suggested racer net prices start around $555 each.

Quick Fuel Technology Keeping Fuel Cool!

BOWLING GREEN, KY - Driving your high performance street machine is a blast until you are stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Fuel circulation is critical during low speed driving to keep the fuel from heating up and percolating in the lines before it reaches your carburetor. The fuel delivery experts at Quick Fuel Technology designed this new Fuel Line/By-Pass Regulator combination (#34-4150-BP) that will keep the fuel cool by constantly flowing it through the lines.

The QFT Fuel Line/By-Pass Regulator kit works for most 4150-style carbs and requires a fuel return line. Installing the QFT by-pass regulator helps prevent vapor lock and erratic throttle response during stop-and-go driving. The return line attaches to the bottom of the fuel regulator and should return to the top of the fuel tank. The return line needs to be the same size as the feed line.

At idle, fuel demand is at it lowest, but the fuel pump continues to operate. If you have an electric fuel pump located near the tank, it applies pressure to the entire fuel line, raising the boiling point of the fuel. The line continues to soak up heat and as the fuel reaches the carburetor, it turns into foam and vapor resulting in poor performance. By circulating the fuel back to the tank, the fuel never sits inside the fuel inlet line, where excessive heat can cause fuel delivery problems.

More Power For Small Engines By Quick Fuel Technology

BOWLING GREEN, KY - If you are trying to squeeze additional power out of a small displacement or low HP crate motor forced-induction street engine, Quick Fuel Technology has a new carburetor that will deliver the fuel your engine requires. The QFT Super Street Blow-Thru Forced Induction carb is perfect for your supercharged or turbocharged street machine.

QFT engineered most SS-650-BAN carbs without a choke to keep the air passages clear eliminating potential clearance issues with some bonnets. The primary side jetting is calibrated closer to a naturally aspirated engine to provide a cleaner running and more responsive engine during non-boost operation. Just like all of QFT's Super Street carburetors, the power valve channel restrictions are changeable, allowing for fine-tuning with the proper air/fuel monitoring tools. The SS-650-BAN features annular boosters, like those found in larger forced-induction carbs from QFT, which help extend the RPM range of the engine.

The QFT Super Street Blow-Thru Forced Induction carb features a modified throttle body with machined channels that align with grooves in the throttle shafts. These channels provide a path for the built-up fuel to return to the intake manifold when the throttle plates slam shut when lifting off the throttle quickly. Otherwise this fuel build up tends to leak out the end of the throttle shafts.

Blow-Through Supercharger Carb From Quick Fuel Technology

Bowling Green, KY – Blow-through superchargers are a fast, efficient way to make huge power. The downside is getting the carburetor dialed-in for the street and the track. Now Quick Fuel Technology has a solution. The custom calibrated Q-Series Blow-Through Carburetor requires significantly less tuning out of the box when paired with a supercharger or turbo. Best of all, it's factory-approved for Vortech and Paxton superchargers.

The Q-Series Blow-Through starts with a symmetrical main body with contoured, equalized venturies and no choke horn. QFT fits the carb with CNC machined annular boosters - upgraded with 13 holes each - improving fuel atomization and fuel delivery through the carburetor. A machined crossover in the metering block also supplies more fuel to the venturi while keeping jet sizes reasonable.

The Blow-Through Series is also fitted with contoured float bowls that minimize fuel turbulence, fully round throttle shafts with Teflon bearings (to improve airflow and prevent throttle pinning), and flush-mount blade screws to decrease turbulance under full boost. QFT seals the main and idle well caps in the metering block with epoxy to keep them from blowing out in high-pressure applications, and enlarged restrictions in the power valve channel allow you to run smaller primary jets for improved street drivability. Using a Q-Series with a blow-through supercharger or turbo makes more power, achieves a linear power curve, and maximizes performance on the street and the racetrack.
