Quick Fuel Technology® Introduces New 2-BBL Circle Track Carburetors

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Quick Fuel Technology® (QFT™) has introduced a new series of circle track racing 2-BBL carburetors (Part # XP-4412) that are packed with features designed to make them competitive with the one-off custom-built carbs that cost hundreds of dollars more. Precise, black anodized billet metering blocks and throttle bodies are devoid of casting flaws and irregularities. A die-cast, lightweight aluminum main body has centered venturis for improved performance and better distribution. The choke tower has been eliminated and the inlet specially contoured for increased airflow as well. An anti-siphon check valve is installed in the main body to reduce pump pullover. The throttle body incorporates roller bearing seals that provide for smoother operation and less wear on the shaft. Specially designed straight leg boosters provide higher airflow (XP-4412-S only).

Like all QFT carbs, these new 2-BBL Circle Track Carburetors are infinitely tuneable with changeable air bleeds, emulsion bleeds and power valve channel restrictions. They are augmented with adjustable idle mixture screws. For those exacting and difficult race applications optional 3-circuit metering is also available. Rounding out the fuel handling duties is a dual inlet fuel bowl with -8 AN fittings. It is equipped with dual sight glass windows for easy float adjustment and a single wedge style circle track float.

QFT finished off these carbs with its proprietary Black Diamond® coating that provides enhanced corrosion protection and a 6% reduction in fuel temperature. Quick Fuel’s 2-BBL Circle Track Carbs are available for use with gas, methanol and E85 fuels. There are currently four carbs available – three 500cfm models with 1.375” venturis that are intended for classes with a “gage rule”. Part # XP-4412 is for gas, part # XP-4412-A is for methanol and part # XP-4412-E85 is for ethanol and E85 fuels. Part # XP-4412-S is a Sportsman version that flows more than 600cfm with a 1.450” venturi and is calibrated for gas.

Quick Fuel Technology® Introduces Revolutionary Electronic Fuel Injection System

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Quick Fuel Technology®, known for its innovative carburetors and fuel systems, is introducing QFI – a bolt-on throttle body electronic fuel injection system capable of supporting 500 horsepower. While the market is awash with bolt-on EFI systems, QFI is different: It combines the superior fuel atomization aspects of a carburetor with the precise fuel control of EFI. The patent pending 8-hole annular discharge sleeves inject fuel into a venturi where air speed is at its peak, and pressure is at its lowest, atomizing the fuel far better than any traditional injector nozzle can do. This results in a much more homogeneous fuel/air mixture that burns faster and more complete, producing more power and better response.

QFI not only has superior fuel delivery, it is packed with features like an on-board ignition driver (no spark box necessary), and full timing control with an integral two-step rev control. The QFI fuel injection system has versatile programming solutions including self-learning capability, hand-held controller or laptop tuning if desired.

Quick Fuel’s QFI is designed for 4150 and 4500 style flange intake manifolds, and fuel delivery is provided by 62 lb./hr. injectors. It is compatible with power adders such as nitrous oxide, superchargers and turbochargers, and with minor modifications, can be used with E85 fuel.

OEM sensors are used for easy replacement if necessary. QFI is available in two finishes – QFT’s exclusive Black Diamond™ black satin finish, or polished aluminum. The QFI system is available as a Base Kit or Master Kit that includes an in-line fuel pump and fittings.

Quick Fuel Technology Expands Its Line Of E85 Carburetors & Conversion Kits

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Have you noticed the price of race gas or even pump premium lately? Smart racers and street performance enthusiasts alike are making the switch to the affordable alternative – E85 with its true 105 octane rating. Quick Fuel Technology, the undisputed leader in E85 carburetor technology has introduced 10 different models with various airflow ratings and calibrations. The Quick Fuel SS-650 and SS-750 models are calibrated primarily for the street, the Q-750 is available for drag, circle track racing or blow-through applications, and Q-850 through Q-1050s will cover virtually any race/performance application. Hundreds of big-block bracket racers have embraced Quick Fuel’s large flange QFX-4710 1050cfm E85 carburetor for its round-to-round consistency and incredible performance.

Not only has Quick Fuel precisely tuned and configured a full line of performance E85 carbs, they have packed them with features that will resist the highly corrosive 85-percent ethanol fuel for years of trouble free performance. Special high-flow bullet style stainless steel needle and seat assemblies prevent sticking caused by fuel contaminants, and E85 resistant GFLT accelerator pumps have replaced traditional rubber pumps. Alcohol resistant floats with stainless steel hinges are designed for improved leverage to close the larger needle and seats. The special billet throttle body and metering blocks have been anodized for protection and the fuel bowls are also coated for corrosion protection. Stainless steel throttle plates glide on Teflon™ coated throttle shafts and feature the QuickLink system that easily change secondary opening rates.

Quick Fuel not only offers complete E85 carbs, they have conversion kits for gas 4500HP® style carbs. These conversion kits contain everything necessary to convert your carb to E85. Quick Fuel also offers billet E85 metering blocks for 4150 style carbs plus all of the individual pieces to make the changeover. Another helpful E85 tool that is essential for E85 racers is Quick Fuel’s E85 fuel checker (E-Checker) that measures the amount of ethanol present in E85. This can vary from 70- to 85-percent depending on the refining process. While this is insignificant to street performance drivers, it is vital for racers looking to extract the maximum out of their engines.

E85 PERFORMANCE CARBURETOR From Quick Fuel Technology

Bowling Green, KY – Racing and performance enthusiasts all over America are taking notice of E85 as a viable fuel thanks to its terrific 105 octane rating, but the special requirements of E85 might limit its use in high performance cars. The fuel system specialists at Quick Fuel Technology have solved that problem with their 750cfm E85 performance carburetor.

E85 requires more fuel flow then conventional gasoline, so Quick Fuel calibrates the dedicated billet metering blocks (also available as a separate kit, part no. 34-106) and adjusts air bleed sizes and power valve settings at the factory for easy tuning. Special bullet type stainless steel needle and seat assemblies prevent sticking caused by contaminants in the fuel. Since ethanol can deteriorate rubber components, special E85 resistant GFLT accelerator pump diaphragms are used in the carb. The QFT® aluminum fuel bowls are specially coated for corrosion protection, specialty composition floats are alcohol resistant and have a longer stainless steel hinge for improved leverage to close the larger needle and seat.

These high performance carbs feature a billet throttle body with a “multi-link” tunable mechanical secondary activation. Teflon™ coated throttle shafts feature low profile button head screws, and stainless steel throttle plates. Quick Fuel equips their E85 carbs with dual inlets for superior fuel flow and clear sight windows for easy float level adjustment.

This carburetor is presently available using part no. Q-750-E85.
